-Urges continuous pursuance of excellence

The HOMAT Group of Schools has hosted its Junior Secondary School (JSS) Three students to a grand graduation ceremony with charge that they should continue to pursue academic excellence, and uphold values instilled in them.
Parents, guardians and other stakeholders turned out in their large numbers for the 2026 Graduation /Prize Giving Day Ceremony of the schools held at the Megalite Hall, Igbogbo, Ikorodu, on July 21, to honour their children and wards.
Some outstanding JSS Three students and staff from the five HOMAT Group of Schools – HOMAT Pivotal College, Owutu, HOMAT Immaculate College, Maya, HOMAT Unique College, Odogunyan, HOMAT Academy, Idi-Iroko and HOMAT Comprehensive College, Igbogbo, were also presented with awards at the ceremony.

The Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, HOMAT Group of Schools, Chief M.T. Olawale Amusa, while welcoming students, staff and guests, said that the school founded 31 years ago, has expanded to offer thousands of children and youths the opportunity to acquire education.
“As the Chairman of this great institution, I am honoured to address you on this memorable day. HOMAT Group of Schools was founded thirty-one (31) years ago with a vision to provide quality and affordable education that would equip learners with the knowledge, skills, values, and character required to excel in life. By the grace of God, that vision has continued to grow from strength to strength.”
“Today, HOMAT Group of Schools has expanded into several annexes strategically spread across the Ikorodu metropolis, serving thousands of learners and contributing to educational development within our community and beyond significantlThis growth has shown not only the dedication of our staff, and was made possible through the support of God, the parents, and the hard work of our students.”

While appreciating staff, parents and other stakeholders for their support over the years, HOMAT Chairman, called for academic diligence and discipline on the part of students to gain promotion in the school.
“To our parents and guardians, we deeply appreciate your trust and cooperation over the years. The responsibility of raising successful children rests jointly on the home and the school. Therefore, I urge all parents to continue supporting the school in training and guiding our learners academically, morally, socially, and spiritually.”
“Strong collaboration between parents and the school will undoubtedly produce better results and greater success for our children.

“I would also like to emphasise that promotion to the next class in Homat Group of Schools is based strictly on merit. We remain committed to maintaining high academic standards and ensuring that every learner earns promotion through diligence, discipline, and satisfactory performance. This policy has contributed significantly to the academic excellence for which our school is known,” Alhaji Amusa said.
Chief Amusa stressing the importance of the award for the graduating JSS Three students and staff of the school, also urged the students to continue to be guided by the knowledge and values acquired in the school.
“These awards are intended to recognise excellence, diligence, leadership, loyalty, innovation, dedication, and outstanding contributions to the growth of our school. We congratulate all award recipients and encourage others to strive for excellence.

“To our graduands, today marks the completion of one phase of your educational journey and the beginning of another. Continue to pursue excellence, uphold the values you have learned, and be worthy ambassadors of HOMAT Group of Schools wherever you find yourselves.”
“As we celebrate thirty-one years of educational excellence, let us remain committed to our collective vision of nurturing, future leaders and responsible citizens who will positively impact society.”
Mr Sulaimon Hameed, the Chairman of the day, in his remarks commended the school for its high academic and ethical standard.
“I had my first encounter with HOMAT Group of Schools a few years ago through a family friend. That experience convinced me to enroll my two children in the school, and by the grace of God, I can confidently say today that it was one of the best decisions I have made.

“Over the years, I have seen and experienced what HOMAT Group of Schools truly stands for among other schools. It is a place where parents can entrust their children and have peace of mind, knowing that they are in good hands and can expect the very best.”
“From the school management to the learning environment, the facilities, and the teachers, everyone has been doing an excellent job. I sincerely commend them for their dedication and commitment.”
He commended the school owner for the standard of education and discipline.

He charged the graduating students on the need to remain focused in pursuing their education and be successful in future.
“To the graduating students and indeed to all students of Homat Group of Schools, I want to encourage you to remain focused. Put your heart and mind into your studies. Remember that your primary purpose in school is to learn and prepare yourselves for a successful future.
“The teachers here are capable, experienced, and committed to helping you succeed. They have what it takes to teach and guide you, but you must also play your part.

“Whenever you do not understand something in class, do not be afraid to ask questions. Have the confidence to stand up and tell your teacher that you need further explanation. Your teachers are there to help you, and I am confident they will gladly take the time to ensure that you understand.”
“Learning becomes more effective when you actively participate and seek clarification where necessary,” the Chairman of the occasion said.
Mr Muhammed Shittu, one of the HOMAT Group of Schools Principals who spoke on behalf of others, described the graduation ceremony as a milestone for the students, he also charged them to prepare for the next stage of their academic journey.

“Today marks an important milestone in the lives of our graduating students. Congratulations to each and every one of you for successfully completing your Junior Secondary School education.”

“Today, we celebrate not only your academic achievements but also the growth, experiences, and lessons that have shaped you into the young men and women you are becoming.

“Graduating students, this is not the end of your journey; it is the beginning of greater opportunities and responsibilities. Continue to strive for excellence, remain focused on your goals, and always uphold the values of integrity and hard work,” he said.
